Domain names and PWA (Progressive Web Apps). Goodbye native apps!

It’s 2018. The crypto markets are garbage as predicted.  The AI race, autonomous vehicles and robot tech is heating up!

This year I predict PWAs replacing native apps. It’s just a matter of time until people get sick of downloading 100s of apps from Itunes, Google Play markets etc. The worst part and most annoying about native apps, is that I always have to UPDATE the app to get the latest security fix etc.

Progressive Web Apps run on the DNS protocol, and are much more efficient then native apps. Major benefits of PWA:

  1. No need to ever download/update any apps;

2 . PWA wont take up the space or memory of your phone;

3. PWA works on demand and are always accessible anywhere in the world via web;

4. You are still able to save the PWA to your main phone screen;

5. PWA run and display seamlessly and identically on all devices/OS;

6. Push notifications are available for PWA.

Major brands have already switched from native apps to PWAs: Starbucks.com, maps.google.com, Instagram.com, github.com, outlook.com just to name a few.

So why are PWAs relevant to domain names?

Well PWAs are cheaper to build, deploy and develop then native apps and run on the web and domain names.

Instead of spending $50,000-$100,000USD+ developing a native app that needs constant updates and maintenance , brands/corp./businesses need to invest(if they have not done so already) in the right domain name and build responsive PWAs for their clients.

PWAs are just another reason why prices of high quality .com names are skyrocketing in 2018.
